Professional Watercolour

Professional Watercolour is recognised for using only the purest pigments to ensure quality and permanence. Available in 108 colours.

Discover endless colour potential

Since 1835 when William Winsor and Henry Newton introduced the first moist watercolours to the world, much of our reputation for supreme quality has stemmed from the Professional Watercolour range. Since then Professional Watercolour continues to be formulated and manufactured according to our founding principles; to create an unparalleled watercolour range which offers artists the widest and most balanced choice of pigments with the greatest possible permanence. Each colour within this wide and balanced spectrum has been selected and formulated to offer the greatest choice so that artists can use a unique palette that best suits their work.

Large Range of Single Pigment Colours

Our Professional Watercolour range uses only the finest pigments which is why they are known for their brilliance, permanence and strength of colour. With 79 single pigment colours, we offer the widest range of modern and traditional pigments.

Unrivalled Transparency

Formulated using the highest quality production methods to achieve optimal pigment dispersion, our Professional Watercolours' unrivalled transparency means every wash will remain vibrant and luminescent.

Lightfast and Permanent

104 out of 108 colours in the Professional Watercolour range are classed as 'permanent for artists' use'. This means that 96 per cent of our Professional Watercolours are rated AA or A for permanence to ensure that the colours used today will appear the same for generations to come.

Pans

Portable and air dry so there is no need to dispose of any unused paint, they are invaluable when working outside or when needing to work quickly. Lift colour simply with a wet brush.

Tubes

Perfect for working at a large scale with a quicker release, tubes are invaluable. You can use large quantities in one go, which is particularly helpful with a restricted palette.
