How making paper arrived in the small town of Fabriano, Italy, no one knows exactly but official documents attest unequivocally that some of Fabriano’s master papermakers were already in operation in 1264.
Towards the end of the 1700's, there was real industrial transformation of this thriving art. Fabriano paper mills have their roots; heirs of a glorious centuries-old tradition that has been refined and improved since the beginning of the current century, thanks to the help of the most sophisticated technological means.
Fabriano papers embody eight centuries of continuous innovation combined with a profound respect for tradition. Amongst the innumerable users of their paper are Giambattista Bodini, Michelangelo and Beethoven.
